Each Friday night they'd sneak away when no-one noticed

Down by the old boat shed he held her tight while they kissed

And danced to songs that played on his dad's radio

She made him swear that he would never let her go

He feels alive with her, a gift in every minute

Can't imagine living life without her in it

The music ends he softly kisses her goodnight

Winks and smiles and says until same time same place next Friday night

With 9 to 5's they work to build a life together

Raising a family with a love that lasts forever

And once a week they steal some time to be alone

To dance together and sing songs they've made their own

He feels alive with her a gift in every minute

Now she’s passed he takes her picture out that old frame
